End of the year Picnic for Eileen
All of the first graders at Eileen's school took part of the day off to enjoy a beautiful day at the park. I was able to help but since I had Joseph with me (Olivia was at her friend's birthday party) I didn't get a lot of pictures during all of the eating and games. Eileen's teacher was out of school the last two weeks recovering from knee surgery, but was able to make an appearance for the picnic (it was her first outing driving by herself!). We got so lucky with the weather on this day since "plan B" was the school basement!

After lunch the kids played organized games lead by parent volunteers, I ran the alphabet game where given a letter and had to work as a group to form that letter-they had more fun with it than I thought they would. Following all of the fun and games they had a water balloon toss, Eileen and her partner made it 3 tosses and then it broke-and they were one of the last pairs (think these kids were a little hopped up?).

After the official toss the adults all threw water balloons at the mass of first graders.
