Where on Earth are the Tocco's?
OK, so I will do my best to update with the big news around here the past few months-for now here is May. I have my calendar out so I hope I don't forget anything or go out of order-I apologize if I do!
April 24th was Grandparents day at Shady Lane and Grandma and Grandpa were kind enough to come and spend the morning at school with the girls. I was able to volunteer at the event this year since Bryan was home and WOW this is a huge production but the school does a really nice job! I had to be at school early so Bryan got the kids off with Grandma and Grandpa.
The group getting ready to go
We pulled the kids out of school at lunch time so we could go out for lunch with Grandma and Grandpa-we went to Uno's and the kids each made their own pizza
Eileen working hard
Joseph piling on the mozzarella
After lunch it was such a beautiful (one of the VERY FEW we had this spring/early summer) day Bryan and I decided to take the kids to the zoo for the afternoon.
Eileen was our navigator and took full charge of the map
Eileen was complaining that her shoes were hurting her feet so she had to ride in the wagon and Olivia was so hot and so tired-so she had to ride in the wagon and Joseph decided that Daddy needed a bit of help so he pushed the wagon!
My little monkeys checking out the other monkeys
May 3rd, we welcomed Emma Riley Tocco to the Catholic Church. It was a beautiful day so we were able to walk to the Church from Jamie and Lori's house and then the kids were able to play in the yard all afternoon (of course we forgot the camera in the car after mass so no pictures of that!).
"Walking", and by that I do mean running at full speed, to church for mass and the baptism.

The happy family
On Friday May 8th I was invited to a Poetry Reading in Eileen's classroom, it was so cute! Mrs. Smalley (Eileen's teacher) had a lovely spread of muffins and fruit along with Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate and fruit punch. The children performed a few group poems as well as individual readings and we all snapped to show our approval!
Eileen and two of her friends doing the first reading
Eileen taking the "mic" for her solo read

Eileen and Joseph post performance
Eileen's first grade class
May 10th was Mother's Day and once again Nana and Papa were willing to make the trip in to see us. Papa came with gifts for the kids (mind you not his kids, his grand kids) from Peru. The kids loved everything and the gifts are beautiful. We had planned a walk/bike ride on the Bug Line but the weather wasn't working with us so once the rain began we had to turn back home.
One of my Mother's Day gifts this year was Olivia wearing my favorite T-shirt, it's perfect for her!
Olivia with her sweater
Eileen with Papa and her gifts from Peru, a new hat and scarf
Joseph learning how to use his new toy
The one that made noise he needed no help with!
May 15th was Kids Choice day and once again Eileen had a BLAST!! The PTA gets parents and members of the community to come in and volunteer their time to put on a very special day for the kids at Shady Lane. Eileen was able to participate in Princess for a day (she made a wand and book mark), Fun with Fleece (she made a knot pillow) and Glitter Sisters-her absolute favorite (she got her hair done, nails done and make-up!!).
She's a natural beauty
Pink hair!
The next day Papa came in to help us take down some trees that really should not have been standing any more!

And half of the backyard tree
May 17th we gathered at Carl and Krista's house to celebrate Carl's 50th Birthday!
Happy 50th Carl!
Carl and his grandson Grayson
Memorial Day weekend Grandma and Grandpa came over to give the girls their birthday gift early-tickets to see High School Musical at the Fireside with them along with an overnight at Grandma and Grandpa's house!

The card sings!
A High School Musical purse
On May 27th the girls were picked up by Grandma and Grandpa for their Birthday trip! They got to go to McDonald's for dinner and then to their house for a movie (HSM 2) and popped corn. The girls had a wonderful time and now hold a very special memory.
Eating sugar cereal for breakfast!
Grandma did our nails!
At the theater in our new matching HSM tee shirts with Grandma and Grandpa
Olivia with Sharpay
Olivia and Eileen with Gabriella and Troy
The girls showing off all the autographs they got on the playbill!
So that was May, I will try to add June very soon since it is a busy month around here I don't want to get too far behind again!
