Other Fun Olivia Stuff!
Last weekend Olivia had her first "friend" party, 4 of her girlfriends from school came over and we had an ice cream party (if you ask her it was an ice cream Princess party). One of the activities we planned was a pinata! I figured that since it was an ice cream party, we could easily enough make one in that shape. I found the directions on line and it seemed easy enough, mix flour and water, dip in strips of newspaper, apply 3 times. Olivia put on the first layer-it took 2 days to dry! I think she put it on a bit thick, so I put the next two layers on when she was in bed.
Olivia mixing the paper mache
Allowing Joseph to help, under her close supervision
Painting the form
She is so focused when she is being creative
The finished product, she couldn't wait to fill it!
When I was at the Dollar Store buying junk for the pinata I found some of those old pink foam rollers and thought the kids might like them for dress up. Olivia found them right away and wanted me to curl her hair for a party she was going to-I figured why not, her hair could use a little bounce! So we set her hair and she slept in them, she looked so cute!

Look how excited she is!
So...the curls came out a bit tight...
I was able to brush a lot of it out with a bit of water and put it in a pony tail
