What a fun week we have had!!!
This week we moved Joseph to his "Big Boy Bed". We got him a toddler bed (since for once we were not in need of the crib mattress), and he has done great! He seems to really enjoy his new bed and hasn't got out to wander around on his own, yet!
We are getting into our back-to-school groove. Eileen is going all day, Olivia goes 5 mornings a week and Joseph has me all to himself every morning. Once we pick Olivia up, they are both ready to play!

Last Thursday night we had the K4 ice cram social for the MF district. The kids loved going to a park to eat ice cream!

Eileen felt so grown up with all of these little kindergartners around!
Eileen took this picture of Olivia and I at the social

On Saturday we went to Chicago for a visit. Jeff and Tina and her daughter Ellie came in for a visit and we were all invited to come and meet them (wasn't that nice of Bob and Paula!). We had a great time, it is always so nice to get together with everyone! The kids had a blast with Amy's kids!
The man of honor, Jeff Schultz!!!
The kids spent most of the time on the front lawn, thank you Aunt Carolyn for staying with them most of the time!!
The kids were doing gymnastics, dancing, jumping and just having a disorganized ball!

Welcome Amelia Lovisa Pauli!!
On Monday September 8th (yes Papa's birthday, you think he was excited?) at 4:35 pm Amelia joined our family. I think I have the stats right, she was 5 pounds 14 ounces, 19 inches long. I don't have many pictures since the first time I saw her I forgot the camera in the waiting room, and then when we were in this past weekend I forgot my camera at home. Jonathan and Sigan are doing a great job, I was so impressed how often we got to see them! Amelia is beautiful, she has such tiny delicate features-we can't wait to see how she grows!
Joseph wanted to touch her so bad!! He was very gentle and well sanitized since it was within his reach!

Beautiful baby girl

Father and daughter, lets hope someone else got a better picture of them!

First Day of School!
On September 2nd Eileen had her first day of first grade. It was a big move for her since now she will go to the big playground, last year all the K5 kids gathered on the small playground. She was nervous but ready and excited. Thus far it has been a great year, we had Open House last week and he teacher is very nice and Eileen is obviously loving school!
Eileen ready to go on her first day!

Walking to school, Bryan was home that week so he was able to walk with us which thrilled Eileen!

Eileen in her first grade line ready to go in

It was so hot that day (the last really hot day we had) so after school the kids got to go for one last swim in the pool before Bryan put it away for the season.

Joseph loved his Spider man goggles, I'm not sure if he could see out of them though!

Olivia sharing Joseph's water wings

On Friday Sept. 5th Olivia had her first day of 4 year old Kindergarten! She was so excited to go to school, and her school would be the same school Eileen goes to. Once it was time for us to leave though she had some tears, which of course lead to mine. Once we were gone she had a great day, and no tears since!
Olivia ready to go!

Olivia was running ahead of us to get into school

Not so sure at drop off time.

I know, I know...
So summer has come to an end and it was a fun finish and now the girls are loving being back to school.
I guess I will start at the beginning...
Early August brought the Sanchez family and the Marcin family to the Falls for a day of fun, relaxing, and lots and lots of talking! It was great to get together with everyone and the kids had a great time too!
Michelle helping Emmet and Ada get some water, Joseph looking on amazed that moms help with this sort of thing!
Diego after he went under water, poor guy!

Ada had so much fun in the pool, epically once her daddy joined her

I can not even begin to imagine what these two were conspiring!

The kids LOVED the cupcakes Andee brought in for us, they still ask when she's coming back (I wonder why?).Although the fact that she let the kids jump all over her may have something to do with it!

Broken Nose
Just a few days after all this fun we had a fall. I took the kids to the park and while I was watching Joseph come down the slide Olivia tripped coming off the bridge and fell , hitting her face and after a trip to the doctor and then Children's Hospital we were told it was a broken nose!
Olivia's nose
Still looking pretty bad. She is looking good now, but it was pretty bad for a while.

A Visit to Madison
When Nana and Papa came back from their Alaskan cruse we went in for a visit. We celebrated Bryan and my birthday's while we were there.
Olivia and Joseph helping Papa in the garden
Olivia was so excited to be able to pick some food to bring home to eat, thank you for all the wonderful produce Papa!

Happy 32nd Mom!

Happy 35th Dad!

Back to School Hair Cuts
I took the kids in for back to school hair cuts, Eileen was brave and made a major change, Olivia-well lets just say we are still working on that self given mullet, and Joseph needed it taken down again.

Happy 40th Grandma and Grandpa!
On August 31st we celebrated the 40th wedding anniversary of Sebastian (Butch) and Michele Tocco, what a wonderful example they have set for all of us! We had a great day of eating, laughing and sharing in old memories while making some new ones.
Eileen and Nathan in the pool, while Olivia looks on from the ladder.
The spread, we had tons of food (thanks everyone), the wedding picture and invitation.

He made some amazing pizzas and grilled veggies!

As a gift we had some of the old 8mm film transferred to DVD, but of course we had to watch the old film first, we laughed so hard!

So we are off to Madison, I will post more when I get a chance. I know I still owe first day pictures and pictures of the newest member of the family, Baby Amelia!
