Eileen's Last Dance Class
Today was Eileen's last dance class so the parents were invited to come and watch a little performance. The girls were all so cute, trying to remember all the steps! Eileen has LOVED every minute of dance and has already asked when I will sign her up again. I didn't get any pictures of the girls dancing because I was video taping it for Bryan, anyone else who wants to see the footage is more than welcome to it!

One final shot of the class!

Some of you may recognize the "skirt" Eileen is wearing for her final class, I wore it when I was about her age for my dance recital. Andee do you still have yours? When I was cleaning out the basement I came across a few of these and pulled out the ones that were sill in good shape and have now added them to out dress up selection.

Bowling
This past Saturday we went to Appleton for Bryan's annual bowling tournament. I did go to Target prior to the trip and buy plenty of bribes for the girls, color wonder books and markers, coloring books, crayons, markers, and a purse full of goodies! We had a lot of fun watching him bowl (for a while at least) and the hotel was great. There was a pretty big water slide there that Bryan and I took the girls on, they could not get enough of it! Although the fun was brought to a screeching halt when the fire alarm went off while we were swimming! It turns out that it was just a little boy who pulled the alarm and felt so bad now that he was crying, he did get a good talking to by the local F.D. though!
Olivia showing off her new shades, nice smile!

This was a weekend to remember!
On Friday we hosted our play group for the first time, the girls were so excited to have all of their friends over to play! The kids all played very well together, it is so funny how much the older kids enjoy playing with the baby toys (in a much more imaginative way though). At one point one of the "moms" commented on how quietly and nicely all of the kids were playing with this house/door toy we have for Joseph and suggested that I bring it to all of the playgroups!
The girls are coloring nicely while we get ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

After playgroup we had to get ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa's so I could go to Lisa's wedding. Lisa and Karl were married at the court house at 3 in the afternoon, they were both so happy and calm, we are thrilled for them!

Saturday we had a birthday party to attend for our friend who was turning 4. We had a great time and the girls loved all of the food and playing there was, not to mention all the attention! Just as we were preparing to leave Olivia fell. She fell hard and hit her head on a concrete step. It was so scary and there was so much blood, so after pressure, ice, and a call to Papa we headed for the ER to have it checked out. It was deep so she did need to have it stitched. While we were waiting one of the hospital staff gave each of the girls a coloring book and crayons. As Olivia was coloring she kept coloring red on everyone, she told us "that is the blood.", I guess she did know how much blood there was. She was not happy to have blood all over her clothes and really wanted to stop and get a new shirt before the going to the doctor, even I said "no" to that, though we did promise to buy her a new shirt later. When she was being examined, cleaned and stitched she was great. The docs couldn't believe what a great job she did, they told us that often with this age and almost always with stitches to the face they will need to restrain the patient. Not Olivia she laid there and cried but didn't move, I am so proud of her! So, we have our first set of stitches it would be nice if it was our last.

More Snow!
Bryan took these pictures last night when he came home from work, before shoveling (he was not happy!). Can you believe we got this much snow on April 11th, this is unusual even for Wisconsin. The girls were so upset they have been praying for spring and sunshine ever since they heard the snow was coming! This morning Eileen was even singing a song to God to please bring the spring, she doesn't want any more snow. Let's just hope this really is the last of winter.

Happy Easter!
Last Friday the girls had their first professional haircut (Olivia's first cut). They did a great job sitting still and there was no fear, they were just so excited! Eileen was so cute, she was watching all the other people and wanting to do just the right thing, I don't think she moved her head out of position once! Eileen looking a bit nervous

Holding her head in perfect position

Thrilled with the outcome, and all the praise she received for sitting so well.

The whole time Eileen was getting her hair cut Olivia was skipping around the salon asking when it would be her turn, at one point she was even hanging off my pocket!

When Olivia was getting her hair-cut she was trying so hard not to move her head, and she didn't, except when she looked at me every minute and a half to tell me that she was holding her head still!
Getting bangs!

Olivia looking a bit nervous, you don't see that very often!

Olivia and Eileen showing off their new cuts! The lady put product in their hair, it looks much better now that it is washed and settled in a bit.

The good news this Easter was I remembered my camera, the bad news is the battery was near dead and I didn't have the charger with me! I got one picture of the girls dying eggs before the battery pooped out! They had so much fun coloring on the eggs and dying them, they really make the process go fast!

I got one shot of Joseph on Easter before the battery was done for good. He looked very cute in his spring pants and sweater vest.
It was a great weekend, now we just have to hope that Papa's Easter pictures turn out!

After the egg hunt...
This afternoon our friend Jacob came over and of course we had to have another egg hunt! We filled our eggs with stickers (no need for MORE candy), and Eileen and I hid the eggs and then when Eileen went to school Olivia and Jacob were off and running! They had so much fun finding all the eggs and then decorating their bags with the stickers.
Olivia thrilled to find the first egg!

Jacob so happy to finally find an egg.

Easter Egg Hunt
Today we had our MOMS group egg hunt. The girls had so much fun finding all the eggs, Olivia found a pile and began to load up!
Eileen was much more strategic in her looking, she found "All of the biggest eggs ever!"
Joseph had fun cruising around and grabbing eggs here and there, of course we had to make sure they stayed shut! After the egg hunt there was a craft for the kids to do. The girls worked so well together to make this great Easter center piece!
Have a wonderful Easter everyone!
Eileen's Last Day of Basketball
Yesterday was Eileen's last day of basketball through the rec. department. She had a great time learning to dribble, pass and shoot. She has become a much better dribbler, she practices all the time, but her shooting could use some work (they taught the kids how to do a jump shot and now she thinks that is the only way you can make a shot).

Eileen and her friends during a scrimmage, don't you love the jerseys!

This session is over, now we just have to decide what to sign up for the summer session!

Another fun filled weekend!
This weekend we had our first non-family member babysit the kids. A teenager from the neighborhood came over on Sunday afternoon for a few hours to meet the kids and see how everyone got along while Bryan and I went to lunch! It went great, the kids had a blast now we just have to see if we can get her back again!
Later that afternoon we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house to dye eggs. All of the kids had a great time playing together and dying eggs, it is amazing how quickly they were able to dye 4 dozen eggs!
Joseph and Mom watching the kids dye eggs

Eileen had to use the egg holder not the spoon once she saw the "proper tool"

The most amazing part is Olivia's sweatshirt was still white after the egg coloring, check out Grandma's table not so lucky!

Brenden had the best technique of the group and even managed to create a tri-colored egg!

Uncle Carl, brave enough to sit down with the kids to help with the coloring process

Nathan showing off his R2-D2 tee-shirt, his uncles were so pleased

After the egg coloring and pizza (Dad's favorite part) Grandma and Grandpa had hidden Easter treats for the kids to find. The kids got coloring books and crayons and markers, and of course candy! The kids are having a blast with their "color wonder" markers, it is giving me enough time to post the pictures!
Eileen, thrilled to find so many wonderful treats!

Olivia, trying her best to get into the plastic egg

Joseph, trying his best to get into (somebody's) egg
Still trying...
There was also some money in their bags, Bryan asked her if he could have some money to which she quickly replied "No.", but turned around and gave one of her dollars to Uncle Eric, she didn't need that much money.
